Junior Graphic Designer

The Junior Graphic Designer is responsible for designing and maintaining digital and print based projects for our clients. This person is a goal-oriented individual who possesses exceptional attention to detail and has outstanding interpersonal skills. This role requires interacting with and implementing design best practices and principles. In addition, the Junior Graphic Designer is required to work closely with the creative team as well as other departments at Youtech to make sure the goals of the client are achieved.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Meet with Senior Graphic Designer or Project Manager to determine the scope of a project
  • Create and design various materials for print and digital collateral
  • Ensure projects are completed with high quality and on schedule
  • Translate client/team needs and branding strategies into design strategies
  • Design and/or optimize graphics and visuals for digital ads and social media (Google, Facebook, etc.) while ensuring they are in line with client branding and platform standards
  • Design and implement email marketing initiatives following brand guidelines and project scope
  • Test and verify with team members and clients that solutions will meet the business requirements
  • Participate in meetings with clients and teams including creative meetings and design reviews
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting, as well as independently

Professional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, XD)
  • Strong design skills and ability to follow the branding guidelines from clients
  • Excellent communication skills with clients and team members
  • Experience with tight-turnaround times
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and collaborate with clients and other departments
  • High levels of self-motivation
  • Ability to create new compelling and competent designs
  • Attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline-driven atmosphere
  • Compelling portfolio of work over a wide range of creative projects
