Open Letter to Youtech – 7 Years Approaching

Dear Youtech,

We are quickly approaching our 7-year anniversary, and I want you all to know how I excited I am about the future of this company, the future of your growth, and the ability to adjust and adapt to the latest trends and obstacles. We have come such a long way in 7 years, and just to see the change year after year has absolutely been amazing. I’ve seen people grow in their careers, grow in their personal lives, and become people I am proud to surround myself around.

Team

Many of you didn’t see the humble beginnings of Youtech, but I can assure you our growth in the last 7 years is one in a million, and I want to quickly remind people how big of an impact we have made not only to our employees, our clientele but society as a whole.

7 Years ago, I started Youtech in my parent’s basement, as a 21-year-old kid, and was in my final year of College. I convinced Frank and Shawn to both quit their jobs to join me, and there we were, in my basement, eating Burger King that my grandpa would buy for us getting started. We were determined, motivated, and had absolutely no idea what we were doing. I would call 100 companies per day, and when they wouldn’t answer, I would show up to the front door of their office on borrowed gas money just to introduce myself. After we saved up about $2000, I decided it was time to take our first biggest risk, and get this small office space in downtown Naperville, and see what we could do. I started skipping classes and completely focused on the business. It took about 6 months to really get on our feet, and as we were growing, we knew we needed to bring in more help. Over the next 2 years, we brought on some key players at discounted rates– people that believed in the vision of Youtech and wanted to see it succeed. We worked late nights, we were constantly stressed out, and we were doing everything we possibly could to grow the business. Day after day, we’d come into the office with a smile on our face knowing that we would get a little bit better each day.

Fast forward to present day, and we have built 2 offices in the US (Naperville and Scottsdale), we manage over 40 people, and have the opportunity to work on some awesome projects with some big businesses. We have become Premier Google Partners, made the Inc. 5000 list 2 years in a row, and will be submitting our third application this year. We have single-handedly changed specific industries, and we are run by 20 something-year-olds. We have created a leadership team that I wouldn’t trade for the world. Youtech is one a million, and I’m proud to share this story with you.

I want to quickly remind everyone that this is just the beginning. For all our new employees or the ones that didn’t see the humble beginnings, our vision isn’t even close to where we want to be. We need to continue to put in the effort, and time that is needed and we will continue to grow, and hit our next goal of $20 Million. This company has all the opportunity in the world for people to grow their careers, the freedom to learn, and the foundation to inspire creativity. I understand sometimes you will have to work late nights, and I understand the frustrations in some of the tasks we all have to do, but I can guarantee, if you do it, it will all pay off in the end.

You have my promise that if you are willing to put in the effort, to believe in the vision of Youtech, to go above and beyond the status quo, I will do everything I can to make sure you are recognized, that you receive everything you can dream of!

We all started as college graduates, just a bunch of kids, that had no idea what we were doing, and now we’re leading the charge in marketing and technology, and companies rely on us to help their overall business. Youtech has changed the lives of hundreds of people, and I couldn’t be more proud of it.

Youtech took years to become an overnight success, and it’s time for everyone to understand the overall vision, to put in the work that makes a difference, and let’s look back another 7 years and see where we are.

Godspeed,

Wilbur You
