SEO Strategist

The SEO Strategist is responsible for coordinating and implementing SEO strategies for clients. This person is a goal-oriented individual who possesses exceptional attention to detail and has outstanding interpersonal skills. This role requires interacting with and implementing SEO strategies. In addition, the SEO Strategist is required to work closely with the team to make sure the goals of the client are achieved.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Manage and execute SEO tactics and campaign configurations
  • Experience with Google and Bing’s services, including, but not limited to:
    • Google Analytics
    • Google Search Console
    • Google Tag Manager
    • Google Optimize
  • The ability to deploy an effective local and long-tail search strategy.
  • Provide regular reporting on client search performance to the project management team and to senior management.
  • Develop an innovative link building plan for incoming & recurring clients
  • Define requirements, tasks, and resources associated with SEO strategy
  • Manage and execute the implementation of SEO strategy
  • Keep pace with SEO, search engines, and internet marketing industry trends

Key Functional Areas of Responsibility

  • Perform keyword research in coordination with client business objectives to optimize existing content and uncover new opportunities
  • Provide SEO analysis and recommendations in coordination with elements and structure of websites and web pages
  • Provide recommendations and execute/manage strategies for content development in coordination with SEO goals – general and keyword specific
  • Develop and implement link building campaigns
  • Monitor and evaluate search results and search performance across the major search channels in order to improve rankings
  • Monitor and evaluate web analytics dashboards and reports in order to develop and recommend SEO strategies
  • Communication to team and management on project development, timelines, and results
  • Continuously develop SEO campaign strategies for E-Commerce & service-based clients

Professional Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in Search Engine Optimization
  • Strong understanding of Search Engine Optimization process
  • Experience working with popular SEO tools (Ahrefs, Google Analytics, Moz Pro, etc)
  • Experience working with WordPress, Shopify, Magento, etc.
  • Experience with website analysis using a variety of analytics tools including Google Analytics as well as internal reporting tools
